Hello!
I grew up in the heart of Olympic National Park, graduated from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, worked for a time in Spokane, Washington, lived and worked in Japan for 17 years (5 in the Tokyo area, 12 in Kurume, Fukuoka), and finally found my way home to Forks. I’ve loved every place I’ve ever lived. Each has its own unique beauty and personality.
I stumbled into photography about 20 years ago when I began translating for a major camera manufacturer. It’s been a wonderful hobby for me because it drives me to go places and see things I might otherwise not have.
I have had no formal education on the topic—I research information and techniques as needed, and I don’t feel like I have a particular talent for framing images. Nor are there any lofty goals or deep meaning behind my pictures. I hope this doesn’t disappoint or discourage anyone. I simply enjoy taking pictures and every now and then I get really lucky.
One less-than-positive result of this passion of mine is that I have come to feel like, “If I didn’t photograph it, it didn’t happen”.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the images and maybe find one you just have to have.
